Devs love dark themes, but sometimes it’s good to respect your circadian rhythm and use a light theme, especially during the day time or in bright ambient light.
I’ve made a fairly high contrast, readable light theme called Business Time based off Github Light.
Install from the Marketplace, or the Extensions feature in Visual Studio Code.
